Presenter: Phil Immordino - Currently Phil travels the country giving seminars on all aspects of golf tournaments. He consults with golf courses, manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, golf tournament directors, golf instructors and golf course designers to assist them in increasing their business.
Description: This session is for all levels of fund raising executives. Everyone involved in events will benefit from the program.

Funders Forum
March 31, 2010

Description: Funders Forum with a twist. In 2010 FIC will feature some non-traditional funding sources along with the more familiar. On March 31, the features will be Charitable Trusts and Social Enterprise. Mark J. Smith, Philanthropic Relationship Manager with Bank of America, will present an explanation of charitable trusts as well as the tactical aspects of fulfilling grant requests. Charlotte Keany, IMPACT Project Director with Center for Nonprofit Management, will discuss social enterprise ventures as a relatively new means of supporting and fulfilling nonprofit missions. Jari Mema, Vice President of Programs, will talk about the social enterprise programs at Catholic Charities.
This will be a most informative session for Executive Directors, Development Directors, Program Directors and Board members.

"Employment Law for Non-Profits"

Speaker: Led by Frank Sommerville, CPA/JD. Frank Sommerville is a shareholder in the law firm of Weycer, Kaplan, Pulaski, & Zuber, P.C. in Houston and Dallas, Texas. He holds a license as a CPA and he is also Board Certified in tax law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is a member of the American Bar Association, The State Bar of Texas, Dallas Bar Association, Christian Legal Society, and the TSCPA.
Description: Employee relations create most of the operating headaches for a nonprofit organization. In fact, when a nonprofit finds itself in court, it usually is due to employee issues. "ABC's of Grantwriting"
Wednesday April 14th (9am-3pm)@ FIC
Led by Lyn Vogt, long time consultant and grant writer, this session is targeted toward beginning grant writers. Enjoy a full day workshop that explores the world of grant writing. Topics include Funding Overview, Fundraising Methods, Types of Grants, Sources for Grant Money, and Communicating Mission and Case for Support. Lunch is provided.
Fee: $150 for members/$300 for nonmembers. (No-Shows will be Billed)
