Homeless Case Management Project Coordinator

Seeking experienced Master’s licensed social worker to implement new Case Management Project for homeless children and families.  Qualified individual will provide case management for homeless children and families at three Tarrant County shelters;  serve as a liaison with partner and community resource agencies;  and assess and report on the needs of homeless children and families.  Requirements for position include a high level of social work experience and skills including:

·      Must have Master’s Degree in Social Work and five+ years’ experience. Must be licensed by the Texas State Board of Social Work Examiners. 

·        Must have a Texas Class C Drivers License, be insurable and have access to an automobile. Travel between office, shelter locations and community meetings is required.   

·        Must have experience working with and understanding of the needs of vulnerable populations (including homeless, substance abusers, persons with physical, mental or developmental disabilities, victims of domestic violence/sexual assault/abuse, etc.)

·        Ability to assess children’s needs and family functioning, and provide crisis intervention, information and referral, problem-solving and case management in diverse family and cultural contexts.

·        Ability to lead coordination efforts among other case managers and staff of participating service providers, medical and legal professionals, and the Tarrant County Homeless Coalition.

·        Ability to conduct assessment of overall needs of homeless children and families in Tarrant County.

·        Bilingual a plus.
