Disaster Services Manager

The Volunteer Center of North Texas seeks a Disaster Services Manager to ensure that North Texas is prepared for major disaster through VCNT’s work with a mass care collaboration that includes the American Red Cross, The Salvation Army and the North Texas Food Bank. Individual will interpret the VCNT’s role to the  community while recruiting/training volunteers to register for disasters.  A Bachelor’s Degree plus three yrs. experience with nonprofits and demonstrated experience in project and/or program management, volunteer services or community relations; experience in disaster response a plus.   Candidates must be able to work independently or in a team setting.  Flexibility, good interaction skills and strong follow-through required.   Strong written and oral communications skills are important.  Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, PowerPoint & Excel.  Send resumes to vfuentes@vcnt.org along with salary requirements.
