OPEN POSITION:  Regional Director for Major Gifts

CBM (www.cbmus.org) is the world’s largest Christian development organization devoted to helping children and adults with disability living in the poorest regions of the world. Last year, CBM served over 23 million people in 99 countries funding programs through prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and economic starts. The organization focuses on helping those with visual, hearing, physical and mental disability. The US headquarters for CBM is located in Greenville, S.C.

CBM seeks a regional superstar responsible for a high level of personal prospect activity to identify, cultivate, and solicit major donor investors for CBM.  Working with the Director of Development, this key position serves as a road warrior in a large region of prospect development work to further the fundraising strategies for CBM-US.  Critical duties include:

·         Develop and maintain a portfolio of investor relationships within a multi-state region

·         Actively build a significant base of new prospects and donors for support

·         Develop fundraising initiatives to generate new donors and build tangible investments

·         Investigate corporate partnerships and actively solicit planned gifts

·         Aggressively recruit volunteers for events and fundraising

Candidates should have a four year degree with a demonstrated track record of increasing financial resources and creating new partners in sales or fundraising.  The successful candidate should be a high energy, a self-starter who can organize work and time without a great deal of direction from a home office environment. This person must be effective in working in a fast-paced organization with a can-do attitude with an understanding of the vital relationship between mission and money and be able to communicate this effectively with passion. This person must have proven ability to cultivate and close major gifts/accounts.  This person must be able to manage small to mid-size events. This person must be organized, persistent, and posses well developed follow up skills. An entrepreneurial candidate that is creative, oriented toward action and results are a must. Working with a small highly competent team of professionals, this is a difficult job but rewarding for the right candidate who wants to make a difference in the world!
