United Way of Tarrant County
The mission of UWTC is to improve lives in our communities by mobilizing the caring power of Tarrant County. United Way provides a network of care for kids, families, seniors, people in crisis and those with health problems. In addition to funding services of dozens of partner agencies and providing grants to other local human service organizations, United Way is working hard to create long-term change in five specific areas. Those areas are quality, affordable child care; child abuse and neglect; a system of care for elders; emergency needs; and obesity. If these key areas are addressed through creative collaborations, then many community problems can be prevented or lessened in years to come.
