Boy Scouts of America

Our Mission- The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
 
Our Vision- The Boy Scouts of America will prepare every eligible youth in America to become a responsible, participating citizen and leader who is guided by the Scout Oath and Law.
 
Our Need- With the growth of scouting in Arlington we are in need of volunteer of all walks of life and ages. We have multiple opportunities ranging from weekly meeting to provide program, planning and putting on district programs, and helping with communication through district web site and newsletter to just name a few. We do offer and encourage all volunteers to participate in our training program. Volunteer must complete a back ground check.
 
Unit Leader- Help with providing weekly scheduled program and leadership for youth with in a unit. Also can help with planning month activities through out the year.
 
Unit Commissioner- Works with a unit to make sure they are providing quality programs for thier youth. Report back to District leadership the needs of the Unit.
 
District Committee- Provides district level leadership to the unit help all unit with recuitement, program, and fundrasising. Committee members help publize the program that the units are doing through newsletter and web site.
